What RECOIL PAD for Tikka M-695???

not too many out of the box recoil pads fit directly on a rifle. but its not too much work to fit one.

step 1- buy a recoil pad that is close.
step 2- screw it on to your gun.
step 3- mark out the dimentions.
step 4- remove the pad.
step 5- stick it in the freezer for a couple hours to get it good and cold.
step 6- the use a angle grinder with a fine sanding pad to shape it.
step 7- re-freeze if needed, then use a very find grit sanding pad to hand sand it to get a fine finish.

step 8- post on the threat to let us know how it worked out.

I did this for my tika and it worked out great

Check out Limbsaver's website. They have a great video clip on there that shows you how to git 'er done. Also a PDF template catalogue of all the precision fit pads.

I used a medium grind to fit pad on my T3. I used Moov-it spray lube for grinding and an air die grinder with a fine sanding disc. The trick is to grind it until there's just the right amount of lube left on it as that's when the finish is left the smoothest. I tried freezing mine and hand sanding with 400 after but it didn't make a lot of difference. If I was to do it again I'd drop it in liquid nitrogen for 15min for the final polish. All the same it looks very slick the way it is and functions even better.

Some say that the Limbsavers smear when put on a sander, where the Decelerator grind down 'nicer'. I have not tried grinding a Limbsaver, but I have one now to fit to a MPI fiberglass stock, so I should find out for myself this weekend. The freezer idea sounds good, I may try that. I don't have access to liquid nitrogen, though. I doubt that many do.....
The answer to your question is, very few will bolt right on. No two stocks are exactly the same dimension for the buttstock. I assume that the slight differences are a result of finish sanding of the wood stocks. I have tried 3 'precision-fit' Limbsaver pads and none of them fit perfectly. Measure your buttstock with the original pad removed. You can compare your measurements to the measurements provided on the replacement recoil pad packaging.
Limbsaver pads are a terrific product. They do add considerable LOP, as the pads are ~ 1" thick.

None will fit perfectly try the de-accelerator it will compliment that gun nicely but you will need to do a bit of grinder work on it. That pad works wonders with reducing the recoil of a .338
