like always I spent the last year buying scopes, working up loads and tuning a bunch of rifles but as usual it'll be my full stock M38 launching a 160 grain hornady 6.5 bullet at 2650fps that goes hunting.
The wife will be toting a 98 mauser in 6.5 topped with a Kahles and shooting Norma 156 vulkans.

Mine will be my T/C 209x50 Encore for the 1st half, then if I have to I'm gonna
switch to my .300WM barrel.I'll include a Mathews bow(Switchback XT) in there too for the bow season in Sept.
In the 209x50 I'll be using 120grs 777 and a 250gr SST,
The 300WM will be 165gr Sierra Game King and 70grs IMR 4350.

Gatehouse,
I guess that's the advantage of having a reputable guy build your dream rifle, if something isn't right he'll take care of it. I'm sure the 7mm mag will work this year anyway.

300 ultra mag in a 700CDL rem. for elk and late season moose
7mm ultra mag in 111Fl savage for mulie and whitetail
shooting 160 accubonds in the 7mm and 200 accubonds in tne 300.:)

That 7RM has put alot of game down, Im pretty confident in it too!

Winchester 1894 model .38-55 calibre. Rifle was made in 1906 and is going to Quebec to kill some winter caribou in November. 100 year old rifle should still do it's part.

...........out of 60 some replies, that is definitley the coolest. I'd like to know how many caribou have been put down in the last 50 years by the .38-55 Thats awesome!:D

To Quebec I take 300 RUM with 200g AB's (long range), 375 RUM with 300g TSX (mid range) and my 7600 30-06 carbine with Knoxx NRS AR adjustable stock for close heavy cover

For moose, I'll have my ntwo Whelens with me. One's a Rem. 750 carbine, and the other is a Rem 7400.

For deer, I'll have my trusty BLR in .358 Win, and as a backup I'll have either my Winchester 94AE in .356 or my BAR in .308. The .356 depends on whether I can get my flat tipped bullets redesigned in time.

For the Muzzle Loader season, I'll likely be hunting with my .50 calibre Traditions Tracker, however, my .45 calibre CVA Optima may find its way out there as well, depending on whether or not I can get my .35 calibre bullets to stabilize.

Early season (fair weather) Mulies up high, pre-64 300 H&H 168 TSXs. All around B.C. custom mod 70 338 23" stainless barrel 250 Noslers. Have big big ones if needed.

260 Rem in the 88 Mule Buck
270 Wby on an M17 Whitetail
303 Martini Mule ragtops
308 Norma on VZ24 Moose if I go north
6.5-300 Win mag on P14 CWD Mule

Crossbow for whitetail and either No4 mk1 Enfield in 303 Brit with 174 gr handloads, or my new Savage in 7mm RM, for bear, depending which groups better in load testing this weekend. I have more load developement time into the Enfield, I will be working with starting loads on the 7mm. Unless starting loads on the Savage are stellar, I predict it will be 303 Brit for bear, the season opened yesterday, I haven't even fired the Savage, so pretty sure it will stay in the safe till next season as far as hunting is concerned.

Mule Deer: .270 Win in an A-bolt Stainless Stalker.
Whitetail: .270 Win in an A-bolt Stainless Stalker.
Black Bear: .270 Win in an A-Bolt Stainless Stalker.
Elk: Probly a .270 Win in an A-bolt Stainless Stalker.

No re-loads for this cat, Mulies and Whiteys get out-of-the-box 130 grain Sierra Boat tails. Bears and Elk earn 150 grain Nosler Partitions, from a similar looking box.

If I get some practice time with her, I'll pack a .308 Norma Mag in a Parker-Nail Custom Safari, for the Wapiti. But I looooove My Browning, and she groups better, to boot.

I think I'll let my daughter and wife shoot everything this year, and for back-up, I may just tote my Ruger #1 in 405 Win with the 2-7X33 Leupold VX-II using homegrown 300 gr Barnes X bullets.

.270 win Tikka 695 whitetail classic with Weaver Grand Slam scope for Alberta muley and whitey. 130 gr TSX handloads.

.50 cal T/C Omega Z5 inline MZ with Burris Fullfield II scope. Load is 285 gr Barnes spit-fire sabot behind 100 grains loose pyrodex for NB whitetails.

Sweeeeeet...

I will be using my new Ruger MKII Stainless 350 Rem Mag with 225gr Partitions this year for moose and deer. Well actually, I hope to use my old Model 88 in 358win on the deer this year, but either way it looks like a 35cal season.

:D

I'm using my T-3 270 WSM for Pronghorn Antelope, mule deer and white-tailed deer when I hunt the prairie (130 TSX), and my model 70 338 WM in the mountains for elk and bear (210 partition). I can't wait until the season begins next month!
