stock camo looks like a pattern used on a lot of European rifles, Mauser m03, some Italian makes.

Forend looks hougeish, but not the grip (and it's stainless grip cap)

I wonder if the tape obscuring the bolt handle is to ensure it doesn't stick to bare fingers? The ball is uncovered though.

Anyone know what this is?

Looks to be a Italian made Sabatti Rover action. I've seen them before with similar stocks.

If anyone is curious, the outdoor store in Spitsbergen will rent you a 30-06 mauser, or for slightly more a "lightweight modern rifle". I know what I would choose

The bolt shroud does not look like that of the Sabatti. Not sure on this one but the bolt, shroud, and trigger guard looks a more like a Howa 1500.

Google Sabatti Rover Orange Camo, it's the Rover line for sure.

Sabatti it is. I had not seen this model. They sure have a fair bit of variation in their bolt shroud shapes.
