What rifle would you like to see made?

Its kind of cool when a major manufacturer brings out a rifle similar in appearance and purpose to a custom rifle you've had built. I plagiarized Jeff Cooper's Baby, and by accident got a more versatile rifle than he envisioned, then Ruger followed suit with the Hawkeye Alaskan.

A Ruger-made double rifle based on their SxS shotgun action. In classic calibers like 303 Brit, 9.3x74, 375 Flanged, 450-400, 450 NE 3.5", 470 NE and 500 NE.
X2! ........ Even if they made such a beast in calibers suited for hunting in NA, such as the 7x57R, 30/30, .303British, and 45/70.

I would love a lever marlin in .460 or .500. It would be my 1895's not so little brother. At the ranges we shoot whitetail at here, .500 S&W would do a great job, it's pretty close to 45/70 ballistics.

I need more lever guns. I was the only one at buck camp this year that did not hunt with a bolt action and it was great.

i'd start with a 38-55 and take off that damn rim, grab me a fancy shootin bolt gun and make er fit... 255gr+ @ 1400-1700fps would make a hellova nice back packin/deer/bear rifle an no recoil.

I'd like to see a modern revision of the Martini Henry action.
Modern metallurgy, CNC machining, some sort of rimless extractor and, if possible a diagonal eject a little like the BSA Martini International would make it excellent.
A slightly different angle into the breech would also allow longer cartridges.
Even if you couldn't go rimless the standard cartridges loaded for this would be amazing i.e. 30-30, 303 Brit, 357 Mag, 38-55, 44 Mag, 444 Marlin, 45-70.
Aside of that a Ruger No1 in 303 Brit is a good start.

A .300 Weatherby Mag chambering in a Sako, stainless laminate with a 28" barrel, heavy sporter contour. Now that's a long range muley whacker with the best, highest BC 165 grain bullet made.

For starters, a modern Mauser CRF in 8x57 and 6.5x55. Followed up by a single shot version of the same calibers. Lastly, bring back the Deerfield!

Ruger M77RL Mk II Ultralight in either 7x57 or 7mm08. These are very nice handy little rifles, I don't know why they've never been chambered for one of the small 7s. It would be nice to see Ruger bring back the 7x57mm in a bolt no matter what the specific model is.

ruger alaskan in 450 marlin, also a series of ruger #1 in an african model 404 jeffery up to 500 nitro

.404 was made for a short time. Last one I saw NIB was a few months ago and it was going for $2000 US. Ruger will have a .450 Nitro out in a few months as part of the special Craig Boddington African run(We'll have two coming as we've spoken for two complete series)
