Any silhouette shooters in Ontario? I've got a full - set of rimfire silhouette steel targets but it seems that Ontario is not as active in silhouette as the West is.

Ontario CFO requires shrouding around steel targets to contain bullet splatter, plus more minimum distance, so it's a bit more difficult to set up steel at matches.

I've started shooting rimfire PRS matches this year, and am really liking it. I shot 8 local matches this year, from freezing in the winter to cooking in the summer, and had lots of fun. I figured it would be a good way to improve my shooting skills in general, and I think I've avoided the temptation of joining the gear race. I'm shooting a cheap rifle that I made a more target style stock for, and a couple homemade bags and rests along with a knockoff Harris bipod. I started out happy to shoot 50% of the winners score, and the last couple matches I ended up around 75-80%. For most of my matches I used what was left of a case of CCI standard I bought 10+ years ago, but now I'm using better (more expensive) ammo, and I did buy a decent scope and rings. I'm pretty spoiled, I live 10 min from a range that hosts rimfire shoots out to over 400m.

Full scale or outlaw ? i'm interested in some outlaw in The Interior

This thread interests me as I don’t know a thing about any of the .22 shooting sports .
What would be the best website that lets one know about all of them ?

I do however know about hunting grouse .
Leavenworth

each discip[line may have its own website, bctsa covers some, cssa cover some others, steel chickens is good for sil but US,

Sorry, I rewrote it a little bit to sort out the confusion. Just getting into rimfire competition world and want to see what events people are enjoying.

Cheers,

Used to enjoy 3P match and sporting rifle, and free and standard pistol... But since we moved to the edge of no-where, it's mostly plinking and hunting...
- As I get older, driving hours to shoot a "match" doesn't have as much appeal as it used to.

Not sure what you mean by full scale vs outlaw, but we've got all sorts of targets that a couple guys have dreamt up, and tons of room to play. One of the guys putting on the matches has a CNC plasma cutter, and has been going nuts making targets. We've had everything from free standing KYL's down to 1/4" to full size IPSC targets at over 400m, targets hidden behind swingers, gophers that blend with the grass and drop down when hit, vital zone animal targets, you name it. We even had the CRPS western finals at my home range this summer.

We do some kind of indoor shooting during the winter in the basement of a local community center.

Not me but a buddy
