What rings are everyone using for their CZ452?

The 452 American has a 3/8" dovetail with which many rings will work. Some are relatively inexpensive, like the UTG Accushot two piece rings, available at Amazon for about $20. I have those on my 452 American (for a 30mm tube). They hold very well. The BKL rings are very good, but in Canada they are not inexpensive despite the previous poster's assertion. I have at least half a dozen of them. The Warne 7.3/22 rings were once available for about $35 at Amazon but I think they've gone up in price. They have a base rail clamp that can be flipped to accommodate 3/8" or 11mm and they are solid. I have them on a CIL Anschutz. Burris, Leopold, and Talley rings are also good.

The problem with the warne is its almost impossible not to get ring marks with them. You have to pry them onto your scope and by then its marked.I have one set of warnes left and have switched to BKL rings on all my other rimfires.

Leupold Ringmounts work well... I have them on a few CZ 452's and a couple Anschutz rifles... they have never moved... and they look better than most of the others.

Yes, they are expensive. But at over $200 are they worth it on a CZ rifle?

10 years ago, they were the ONLY game in town to mount a SIGHTRON 8-32x56 on a CZ 452 Varmint that would a) provide a good cheek weld and b) scope bell to barrel clearance.

IIRC you are right on the money, they were about 200 bucks. Since I had no other choice, it had to be done that way (so it was worth it to me). There are other alternatives out these days.

Still. Quality Gun. Quality Scope. Quality Mounts. it is a package :)

As far as I know Wolverine is the only Recknagel dealer in Canada.

I was simply wondering whether spending $200 plus on rings for a sub-$800 CZ rimfire is a balanced investment. At over $1500, a Sightron SIII scope probably deserves a better rifle. BKL rings have been available for at least a decade and do the job well with SIII scopes.

All my rifles wear SIGHTRON :) there are some pretty serious rimfire comps in the USA and 85% of them are using... you guessed it. SIGHTRON. it's quite a time playing with the lowly 22 rounds and seeing how far they can actually go. And be accurate. But to do so requires excellent glass and a lot of elevation adjustment :)

Ralph Martini is also a Recknagel dealer fwiw

As far as a balanced investment? Not too bad really, considering the entertainment it has provided over the last decade :)
