Does anyone know which brand / type of rings will fit the dovetail on the H0001s ? I have a set of rimfires rings off eBay but they slide back and forth no matter how I tighten them up. Any suggestions are appropriated.

Henry 22 lever rifles have a 3/8" Grooved Receiver...

So 3/8's Grooved Receiver Rings 'should' fit...

Just had a look at Cabelas & they list two makes of 3/8's grooved receiver rings... Traditions and Sun Optics.

I recently picked up an Ithaca model 72 lever at a gun show and had the same issue. Apparently the issue is because the receiver is flat on top unlike most bolt action and semi auto 22's that are rounded on top. I have a crossbow with a flat top 3/8" dovetail mount and an Enfield rifle with the same style mount. With all 3 what has worked is a ring with a machined piece that engages the groove, rather than a stamped piece. Sorry for the poor description and I can't give you the specific brand names (I have had the Enfield and the crossbow for over 20 years and the ones I used on the Ithica came out of my junk drawer). Hopefully this is some help to you.

Looking at the ones on Cabelas that Jay pointed out, the Traditions rings are the type that I reffered to as having a stamped part and the Sun Optics appears to be the machined style.

Look at Warne rings 7.3 22 I think I’ve got this right . The ring clamp can be reversed to fit N American or European dovetails

Thank you both. So is this 3/8 dovetail same as 11 mm dovetail?

No, the angles are quite different. More then likely the rings you have are 11MM, and that is why they are not clamping. I like the Burris 22 rimfire rings if you want light the Leupold Rifleman 3/8" dovetail rings are pretty decent for a 22. I wouldn't use them on anything else though.

That could be the case with the OP's rifle. The first ones I tried on my Ithica were definitely 3/8" (had them on a Mossberg 22 at one point) and they would not tighten up on the groove.

The Henry website recommends/sells Leupold Rimfire Medium Rings 3/8" for H001 Series Rifles Only LRSRH001 $ 71.99

These rings in Canada seem to be about 1/3 the price of the rifle, if you can find them. I thought I'd found a set at a gun show but they turned out to be 11mm.

I want to mount a more inexpensive set of aluminum rings. As mentioned the Henry has a flattop receiver rather than curved and without a cross slot like a weaver base. Ordering off the web so far is a crap shoot as there is little detail and even worse pictures. Weaver .22 tip off 3/8 Quad lock rings have a rounded bottom and won't sit flat on the receiver. Leupold rifleman vertical split rings say they are for cross slot bases or rimfire 3/8 groved receiver. They are definitely more suited to cross slot bases. They will grasp the V groove but they sit quite high with a substantial gap from the receiver to the bottom of the rings. Neither were to my liking.

So the search continues. Need a set of aluminum rings that are flat on the bottom and 3/8"

I use a pair of Burris Signature Rings #420554
these rings come with 2 clamps (11mm and 3/8")
the lower rings are drilled (vertically) so one of them can be pinned to the base with the included pin (only one supplied, I assume the base needs to be dimpled for the pin to secure the ring).
