What round do you use in your 10/22?

Mine is sighted in for 25m and is still pretty much dead on at 50.
Watched several guys use the American Eagle 40 gr in their 10/22's, very accurate and great gopher dispatchers, I mean, do they ever do the job extremely well. I was amazed, especially since they are among the cheaper of the 22 ammo. I'd sure give the a try.
This is almost a dream thread, these days if you can get decent rf ammo you're laffing. My 10-22 loves Remington Cyclone. Gets your fingers black so I bought a speed loader from Butler Creek and never looked back. All I got this year was American Eagle and it aint bad.
I have a stock stainless, wood 10/22. The only exception to stock is the bolt release mod. It eats anything I feed it - Federal 525, Western bulk, Super X bulk, 333/555, etc. I don't get my shorts in a knot over super duper accuracy, as I generally wobble around a fair bit when shooting (at) gophers anyway.
I shot a nasty pile of the cute little critters this year, and figure any misses can be classed as "warning shots", or "ranging", as in in artillery fire.

I shoot where noise is an issue, so I tried this in my 10/22 with great results; http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=802266 Didn't think subsonic ammo. would cycle the action, but it does a fine job of it. Very consistent stuff too.
I shoot Walmart dynapoints in my 10/22, they work alright. For sighting in, I prefer a 50 yd zero. With that zero, 25 yd is dead on, 100 yd is about +5.5 MOA, and 200 yd is about +23.5 MOA (relative to 50 yd).
Well, Wholesale Sports in Kamloops only had Remington Cyclones. I shot about 100 rounds, I had 6 that didn't feed properly, leaving the action half open, I had 5 that didn't fully eject and I had 5 duds. The Cyclones won't feed in my 30rd Shooters Ridge mag.
I had a hell of a time getting 'er sighted in, for some reason...
I ended up shooting from 40 yards and here are my results.
About a 7/8" group, with the straggler being an "ammo defect"
4 rounds in a 1/2", and the 5th being another straggler due to "ammo defect" once again...
Then I decided I'd fling some lead at 100 yards just to see. I started with "Hmm... lets see how I do if I hold this high... nope, what about this high... nope how bout this"... Needless to say, it was horrific.

Mine feeds Federal bulk packs and Winchester 333's/555's without a hitch. I'm less than impressed with the expansion, and current price, of the Federals so I stick to the Winchester stuff. When I need gilt-edge accuracy and terminal performace I'll splurge on Power Points but I haven't done so for the Ruger since I went to iron sights.
