What Scope for Hunting and Target .22LR?

I have one on a target gun, but with a fine crosshair and like it, but would want something lower powered and smaller for hunting. A 3x9 would be the best compromise between the two applications.

Other than being cool, I'm pretty sure a "Dead-Hold DBC" would be next to useless on a 22 anyways. Not exactly a 600yd gun

I know that it isn't going to be a 600yd gun.

I did a comparison between the Vortex Dead-Hold DBC and the Nikon BDC150 (a dedicated .22lr scope) subtensions in one of my earlier posts.

To my surprise, there was a very minor difference!

I'm still thinking about the objective diameter since this will be a gun that will see 65% target use and 35% hunting.

Heck, I hunt with my 12.5lb and 15lb M14s so I may just end up with the larger objective after all since I will also add a sunshade and a bipod.
