What scope is rugged and cheap for the M14?

they're purpose built scopes. the 3200 fixed 10x is explicity sold as a TARGET scope...

But: those turrets have proven themseves to be absolutely useless if rifle is used mainly for hunting. In fact, Chi Leupold clone's turrets were REAL pain of the neck - really easy to disposition them while carrying rifle in a bush. Bushnell's adjustments are way too big, too.

At the moment I was installing it I had no other around, and enormous size of those things fell off my design considerations... ;)

Hey guys.....When you order a Barrett .50 cal rifle and you ask for a scope to be included....They use 2 scopes....1 is a Leupold(cant remember the exact model) and the other is the Bushnell Elite 3200 10 power.....So you know its a good scope!!!!!!!

I ran a Bushnell 3200 10x on mine for a while and it worked fine. I just mounted a Tasco 6-24 varmint on it and I'll let you know how it works as soon as I get a chance to get to the range.
