I am starting to modernize a 6.5 x 55 model 38 and a scope mount is going to be an issue it seems. Are there scope mounts for the 38 or 96 that don't require machining the receiver?
problem solved, I located mounts rings , a base and a scope that used to be on this rifle from the last owner.
