What scope/parallax are you using?

I have a Burris Fullfield II 3-9x 40mm on my 10/22 target rifle. I'll be replacing it with a Falcon Menace 4-14x 44m AO pretty soon.

You can shoot with a centerfire non AO scope, however. Your sight picture has to be the same everytime in order to group. Also I could only get to 6x indoors without it going fuzzy. The bottom line is you want an adustable objective for rimfire. You can make do like I did, but the limitations will tick you off after a while. The Burris is an excellent scope and will be going on a hunting rifle. Which would be more appropriate for it.

I also have a Kimber SVT. I've ordered a Leupold VXIII EFR scope for this rifle. The parallex adjusts down to rimfire ranges with this scope. I'm really looking forward to shooting this set up. Especially indoors during the winter. :D

I'm running a Bushnell Elite 3200 4x12x40 AO on my Savage Mark II BV, great scope. AO is a must have for the shorter ranges, however my next scope will probably have the side adjustment rather than on the bell.

My "disposable" Leapers scope has two rings around the objective lens, both rings have two notches cut into them for a spanner-type wrench to fit into. I tried moving the rings with a blade screwdriver, but they wouldn't budge.

I could grind out some sockets to fit each ring, but I don't have any junk sockets at the moment. I think I'll take it into work on Monday and see if they don't have the right tool for these types of things.

Sorry for the hijack Pharaoh2!

Check my thread I just posted with pictures. http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=241327 Perhaps this will help.

22 Scope

I put a Leupold VariX 111 1.65-6x 32mm on my Win 92-22. For close shots I leave it on 1.65 power, for longer shots I crank it up. The scope is crystal clear and compact. The 32mm objective is also a good size for a 22 rifle.
