What series is a Norinco Commander?

I bought an old one for a project and some parts seem to distinguish between series 70 and series 80.

All the Norc 1911's I've encountered, including full size & 'commander' size pistols have all been Series 70 types [ie devoid of the Series 80 internal firing pin block junk in them].

They might be Chi-com junk to some but at least they got that part right....lol.... ;)

NAA.

Series 70s have collet barrel bushings, IIRC. I guess other than actually taking measurements of parts dimensions, it is safe to say that, the Norkie Commanders I had were similar to 70 series or the old government model. No firing pin safety plungers.
