What Shotgun and Rifle generally used for 3 gun

Is there a short list of which AR's take the 10 round LAR magazines as I actually have some for my |SU-16

I asume most shooters are shooting .223 ammunition??

Here are examples...

Personally I shoot what they call "Tactical Optics"
Still fairly basic gear, but I can use magnified optics and a semi-auto shot gun.
From the matches I've attended Tactical Optics appeasrs to be the most popular division.. It has the most competetors.

If you want an inexpensive shotgun, try the Weatherby semi. I'm waiting for an M2, but the Weatherby works great for now. I put a C-more on top and had to mess with the mag tube a bit go get 5 in, but it's good to go now.

I've been using the STI AR's, they seem to work really well.

STI Trubor or Steelmaster for pistols so kinda figured i would end up there anyways.

As most stated ar 15 for rifle. Personally I will be running a cz 858 with an xcr adapter, backstops are not an issue where I shoot. The guns ergonmics are not quite as good as the ar, but it is non restricted and the ammo is cheap.

Shotgun I have a bennelli supernova with an extended mag. The neat thing on the bennelli is that once you feed on round the lifter stays lifted, making reloading slightly easier.

Some folks use semis that can be ghost loaded. Then you can start your stage with 5 + 1 + 1=7

With ipsc shotgun I believe you can only start with 8+1 anyway.
