I have a stock 10/22 but the "upgrade everything I own" itch is starting. I have been very impressed with my Ruger (probably 3000+ rounds fired, many gophers killer) but I do have a few complaints. It does stovepipe the odd time (1/100 maybe) and it does have weak primer hits the odd time (I pull the trigger and it hits, but doesn't fire, recock and pull the trigger than it fires). Any suggestions?
I am thinking maybe getting a titanium extractor?
What would make the firing pin stronger?
I am also thinking of getting a target hammer for a cheap way to lower the trigger pull
Thats the "performance" aspect of what I am thinking of doing. Unless anyone can suggest free mods that are worthwhile/easy. I should not that I am using BC PLASTIC lipped magazines. This may cause some problems? Soon I am hoping to get some Promag 9/22 mags
In terms of looks I think I am just going to put on a Tapco T6 stock. I know everyone will say get an Archangel but I kinda like the looks/cost of the Tapco, and removable pistol grip for painting
Anyone have experience with the tapco stock? Just the normal one, not the tactical trainer.
Any tips/tricks/advice is appreciated
