So I been looking around and I can't make my mine up about what gun to buy. benelli super vinci 3 1/2 12g or beretta a400 xplor unico ko 3 1/2 12g both look like great guns. Any opinion??

Why limit yourself to the two you have mentioned ?

Suggest you also look at the Browning Maxus & it's twin the Winchester SX3. The Remington VersaMax is another option.

Before you buy try shouldering & if possible shooting the guns you are considering.

Have you considered the Winchester SX3, there is a reason the A400 and the Super Vinci come up a lot on the EE and used at dealers. People buy them without trying one first.
Dont get me wrong, they are both quality guns and will last forever with minimal maintenance, but see if anyone at your local range has them so you can try them first.

1800$+ is a lot of money to drop on a gun you might not like.

I have yet to try the unico, but the A400 is one of the finest semi auto's I've ever fired, I find the Vinci is a little bulky and kicks harder with the heavier loads IMO.

I've had both...and in several different configurations and now I shoot the a400 xtreme with absolutely no regrets... If u want more of my opinion feel free to pm me

We've got one of each and have no complaints with either. I'd say pick the one that fits you best and enjoy shooting it.

Are you recoil sensitive? The A-400 with KO is much softer shooting with heavy 3" and 3-1/2" loads. Other than that, both are reliable guns.

If you find yourself out in waterford, you are more then welcome to try out my Fabarm XLR. That gun will cycle everything and doesn't kick much, also has the benefit of being able to shoot steel shot through a full choke.
I'd put it up against a winchester quality wise,

I started shooting the super vinci in January and my friend bought the xtreme a few months later. Both are really nice to shoot. The xtreme does shoot a bit softer but its not a huge difference. I chose the super vinci because it just shouldered better to me and I liked the raised rib on it. If I had to list the advantages to each they would be:

Super Vinci:

10 year warranty vs 3 with the xtreme
Feels more durable
5 chokes vs 3
Very easy to take apart and clean
Lighter than the xtreme

Xtreme:

Cycles lighter loads better (I use 1-1/8 oz to shoot trap min so this cycles well in my vinci)
Shoots a bit softer than the super vinci
Rust coating on internal parts

I spent a lot of time researching these two before I bought mine. I would say 60% of people online said the Beretta but to me in the end it was the way it fit me.

Did you have to break in the inertia spring when you got it. Someone told me if I get the benelli I should run a couple box of super heavy game loads thought it to break in the spring. Is this true?

Yes I shot about 100-150 of a mix of 3", 3.5", and heavy target loads. If you are shooting trap and skeet the min recommended load to use is 1-1/8oz with 3 dramm. Even my buddy had to shoot a few outings of trap with his beretta before it cycled the 1-1/8 oz loads perfectly.

Of the Vincis I've seen with ejection problems, most of it can be equated to poor shooter form. With lighter loads, if you pull the stock too hard into your shoulder or stand poorly, ejection can be an issue.

Only time I had an issue where the chamber wouldn't come back fully shooting trap was if I was using less than 3 dramm

Both are good guns. But if you intend to shoot clay targets then get the Beretta. Its gas action is more tolerant of lighter loads than the inertia action of the Benelli. If you can try a gun with the Kick-Off. It's an acquired taste for some people.
