What should I buy?

I have a Savage 111FXCP chambered in .300 Win Mag, it is the package deal from frontier arms i believe. http://www.frontierfirearms.ca/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=17_18_63_177&products_id=541
I still have the package scope on it but want to upgrade to some thing that can handle shooting out too and beyond 500m. I would also like not to brake the bank completely on it. If any one has suggestions I would welcome them. Greatly Appreciated.
 
What do you want to spend?

Scopes range in price from $100 - 2000 so you might want to narrow it down a little.

There are guys on here who will put nothing short of a Leupold VX3 on a gun and others who will recommend some good cheap scopes.

Why not give us an idea of a price range. Save everyone the guesswork.

Use and Magnification is another issue. Do you want to be able to see hits at 500m target shooting, or are we talking hunting?

Less than $500 ? Mmm, if buying new I kinda think you are SOL. Frontier had some demo Falcon Menace for about that price but target shooting out to 500m may be a bit of an ask for a 4.5-18x56. It would be doable though.

My honest recommendation: save some more money and look at an Elite 4200 or, better yet, a Sightron. I'd go in the 6-24 or (my preference) 8-32 range.
 
I find that for quality-price a Sightron is a heck of a scope, did learned to appreciate fixed power.... TC Icon P.H. 6.5 Creedmoor +( Sightron Big Sky 36X... 700.00 ) actually my most fun factor combo... Cheers. JP.
 
I would probaly get the Cabela's Zeiss deal 3.5x10x44mm.
Or if the $800 is to much to swallow I would get the Redfield 4x12x40mm.
