What should I do about ding on new gun just received? Need your inputs.

I had the same issue with a CH22 receiver. Had milling marks all over it plus had issues with the bolt not working with the charging handle.
Wanstalls was the dealer. Good guys to deal with. I emailed them and Tactical innovations. Pics and vid. Sadly the whole run that Wanstalls had had issues. I sent it back at my cost and got a lesser ugly one. TI sent me a new charging handle.
This seemed to fix almost all issues.
Pain in he neck though. Buying locally does have its advantages.

Good to hear your story, and totally agree about the advantage of buying locally. However, people in my town don't have many chooses. So sad.

That ding will not affect the thing in any way, but just the same, talk to the dealer.
Taurus has a really bad customer service reputation though. Despite their Unlimited Lifetime Repair Policy. That you have to enroll in.
A new cylinder(there's no S/N on parts other than the frame) will require fitting by a smithy.

I don't believe the ding was from handling during in the possession of dealer, but most likely from the factory. Their bad QC let this slip into the market. Found same story@youtube, the guy had same issue.

That is one small ding, and with a little effort could be buffed out. Having said that, you don't like it, didn't expect it, and don't have to accept it. You can send it back to the seller, and they should either replace it or give you your money back. Not hard to do, just a little paper work.
If it were mine, I would just shoot it., then buff it out after 20,000 rounds, mind you by then, it might just be part of the character.
