I was thinking to get one Norinco GI style 1911 in .45ACP, one police model in .45ACP and one NP58 in .40S&W. But now I have a tough decision to make, either buying a Kimber or these Norinco's. Please help me.
Thank you!

Go with the Kimber. you pay more money but it is well worth it. i purchased a 45acp kimber tactical last june and i find myself at the range almost every day. The one thing is you definatly going to need a trigger job. the factory setting is way too heavy. Goodluck with your decision.

If you want to have 3 guns and shoot them all the time, Norinco is the way to go.

If you want to just experience all pistols, you can buy Kimber and sell it, then buy another and sell.....so on.

Stick with the Norc's

If these are some of your first handgun purchases then please buy the norcs, they are the best value for money, and gives you a broad experience into the sport of handgun shooting. I have both a GI .45 and a NP28 (1911 double stack 9mm) and love both of them.

If you have a substantial collection and am just looking to add to it, then go with the Kimber....

My 2 cents..........

yes, I like to shoot different guns. I may buy Norinco's first, then sell them all to get a Kimber if I get bored on these cheap guns. :D

Kimber Warrior - best handgun I've ever owned.

I've owned three Norinco's in the past - but compared to the Kimber, they are inferior. Still a good product, but I find the fit/finish on the Warrior to be FAR superior.

I am not a norinco fan, but I have never heard anything negative about their hand guns.

I just bought a norc 1911 as my first 1911. I'm going to shoot this one and then get it upgraded with nice parts and reblued.

The gun after that will be a Kimber/STI/SA/DW, and it better be a lot nicer for the money!!

I find with handguns it's better to handle and fire ones you are interested in before you buy them. That way they don't end up on the Exchange board the day after you go to the range for the first time.

Buy only 1 Norinco...if after a month or two you're happy with it, get 2 more.
If you're not, sell it and get a Kimber. You'll lose $100 and it will be easier to sell 1 gun instead of 3!;)

Bang on.
I had a norc and hated that POS, but I also had a buddy who had two which I liked. He had the 1911 and the m77b both of which I thought were decent for the money. The np-17 I had though was terrrible, and I even felt bad selling an almost brand new gun to a friend at half the price.
Just food for thought.

I'm usually a fan of going with more cheaper stuff. Now the Nork owners may say this isn't so but there seems to be a fair number of stories that say Norks need some tuning to work at their best. If you're looking for a potential project gun then go for the two Norks. BUT.... if you don't do your own gun work at all and want something that is silky smooth to shoot then go for a brand known to be in good trim right out of the box. I haven't handled a Kimber, let alone shot one, but I've handled and dry fired about 8 or 9 1911's. A couple of Colts and the rest were all STI. I have to say that the STI's are all REEEEEEALLY NICE with smooth slides and trigger pulls to die for.
