Nice shooting Mike! You were right, the fit is perfect. This beautiful lady is home where she belongs. Excellent, I couldn’t be happier to part with this treasure.

hmm checkering isn't as ugly on the ISIDE either. Available through Bilozir, though I've heard horror stories on here and elsewhere none involved ordering a non custom gun.

I can't get on FAIRs website for some reason, but from bilozir it looks like they do not have recoil pads (easy fix) or case hardening.

Franchi says the guns can be had with a double trigger. A 24 inch barrel as well which is weird but kind of appealing to me.

Is that the FAIR Iside? I can't get used to the checkering either... plus it's missing a second trigger.

That is not an Iside, no. It is a different model
This is the checkering pattern used on the Iside, this one just happens to be the Vintage (hammer model)
The checkering is done with laser, and is not to everyone's liking, for sure.

Can this handle modern 2 3/4 shells? Apparently it's nitro proofed?

Sleeved barrels, unknown from these pictures who did the work but it was done in England and properly reproofed.
It is nitro proofed and was chambered for 70mm ( 2 3/4” ) ammunition. If undamaged and unmodified it is as good as the day it was reproofed. Pre WW1 Westley Richards action. Metric proofs became optional in 1955, standard in 1989. Almost certainly done post 1989. Enjoy.

Good eye David, I should have known better about the checkering as it is quite different, not sure what model that is then. At least you have the proper amount of triggers on that gun!

The other SxS is a Franchi Esprit.
Yup, two triggers! The only draw back -if you can call it that , in the Iside Vintage is that when my buddy and I designed the original hammer gun, we asked for fixed chokes . Luca Rizzini said they don't make guns with fixed chokes anymore, so we got screw ins:p
And yes, that is one of the first three in production of the 100trial guns that were sent to Canada , and it shoots super on everything from ruffies to big Canadas!
