Hey guys I want to replace the sights on my Norinco 1911A1C and am curious as to which types fit with only light fitting. I've been looking around and there seem to be a few different types.

Also any suggestions on good 1911 mags?

Thanks!

I used the rear site from a william firesight for a colt. The slide had to be milled though and he made a custom fiber optic site for the front. Not a drop in solution but that's how it went

Well this would be real easy if web sites had the actual dimensions of the fitting on these things. That would make it much less of a guessing game...

This is easy. The Norinco rear dovetail is the same as a Colt. Buy a Colt rear sight.

The front sight. Two types. If your Norc has a dovetail, it is unique to Norc. Buy a Novack and have the gunsmith mill the dovetail on the slide to a standard size.

If your front sight does not have a dovetail, it is mounted using a tab (tenon) on the bottom of the sight into a slit cut in the slide. Colt use two different tenon sizes. The Nornco uses the SMALL tenon, as on Series 70 Colt 1911s.
