Looking at upgrading the sights on my NP29 and I have a set of Meprolight's off a Kimber I got in trade. The rear seems rather long and will over hang the end of the slide if the existing dovetail is opened up. Not sure if I want to go that route so I'm looking at other options. What have you guys done?

I have installed a couple of sets of melted bomar bmcs on 2 of my slides, you will need a milling machine and a couple of carbide cutters to do this. Norincos are the hardest, toughest steel I have ever tried to machine, gun wise.
I see Gunnar at Armco lists some Armco fixed sights, I might try a set. I think maybe they are Hinie copies.?

I haven't done this yet, but I was toying with the idea of drilling the front sight for an insert out of a lightening rod. May have to build it up first.

Steve David, I also like Novak sights and plain black ones work well on my #2 'rinco. A word to the wise is 'rincos are made of very hard steel and they are hard to work with. Regards, Richard
