I'm refitting a sporterized No.1 this weekend. I just recieved a beautiful No.1 wood set from RedDawg (thanks a million man it's a beauty), along with almost all of the metal I need.

I also have a nosepiece coming in from Districorp, which should hopefully arrive by this weekend if all goes well.

What I'm missing is:
-Screws that attach to the nose piece
-Front band swivel and screw
-Screw that holds the rear sight ears into the stock

If anyone has a set I'll gladly buy 'em, otherwise I was hoping someone could measure the screws used to hold the nosepiece (piece with the front sight ears and bayo lug) onto the stock and the one that holds the barrel band closed s I can grab 'em from a hardware store if possible...

Anyone?

There is a vertical screw and a horizontal one to secure the nosecap. These threads are non-standard, so its probably easiest to obtain the proper ones. The swivel on the nosecap is a piling swivel, not a sling swivel, its a bit different. These were eventually removed in service, so the absence of a piling swivel isn't really a problem.

They use British BA threads which don;t exist anymore. You'll likely have to order real parts from one of the suppliers such as Marstar, Numrich, Springfield Sporters, your local gunsmith's parts bin, etc...

Can provide with the nosecap screws and the barrel band screw. shoot me a snail mail address. You will only have to pay for the padded envelope and postage.

Oh by the way, mention those bits in your reply so I don't forget which ones you need.

Do you have the T nut that fits in the forend that one of the nosecap screws goes into?
