What size ball or ball mold for my baker

The barrels are made by Colerain - you could reach out to them to see where to start at. Or call TRS (call - don't email ;) ) and see what they have to say.
Figure out what size ball works best before you buy a mold - Track has quite a range of possible fits, .580 (.020 patch) .595 (.020/.015) .600 (.010) and .610

IF it were me I would probably start with the .580 & .595 - if they are too small you can always double patch and move up when you run out ;)
 
If it is a .62 cal. Colerain smooth bore, I think I would go with a .600 ball. I just finished building a .62 cal. NW trade gun with what is believed to be a Colerain barrel (unmarked). The owner is loading a .600 ball and a .015" patch. Loads easily - not too tight and not too loose.
 
Wax slug the barrel at the muzzle, leaving enough to pull it back out. A whittled down candle might do the trick? If the barrel has a breech plug, your laughing.
 
It is easy to directly measure a smooth bore with a set of calipers. A decent digital set can be had for about $20.00. If you slug the barrel, you will need the calipers or a mic. to measure the slug.
 
What I would do is take long lead slug a little oversized and slug the bore.

Even a 5/8 bit could be used just screw a couple pieces of wood together drill hole to a good depth and pour in lead. If it’s not big enough you could upset it a bit by hitting it lengthwise with a hammer.
