I am looking for a new harris bipod and can't make the decision on size. Can any of you guys lend some advice?

also pivot vs non-pivot model...

thanks,
Andrew

just picked up a non-pivoting modle 9-13 inch .shooters ridge ROCK MOUNT.picked it up from canadian tire.going t use it on the 222 for varmits.if i like it might pick up a longer one in a pivot mount.

Depends on whether you intend to shoot prone, or seated / kneeling. The 9-13 is good for prone where there is some minor ground view obstruction. The 26" (?) I have is for kneeling or seated. More practical for my hunting where you wouldn't see anything lying prone.

9-13 in swivel base with notched legs . This works well in the prone position for me.The notched leg version is easier to set up than the smooth leg version.

I use 13"-26" I can shoot prone with it and knealing. Love it. My buddy just put a 6"-9" on his 270 and couldn't shoot prone due to the tall grass. Mine is no pivot but has adjustible legs. I believe its a harris or maybe shooters ridge. Anyway its from cabelas and I love it

I have an Atlas bipod 5 to 9 inch Its great for the tree stand...

I have used a Harris bipod for almost 30 years.
The 13-25 inch model allows me to shoot from Prone and sitting.
The best prices I found were by a query on google for Harris Bipods.
For a $12 shipping charge, Harris Engineering in Kentucky cleaned up my two notched 9-13 bipods, and they paid the return postage. Be Warned: If it is not a Harris - they do not return!
