What size magazine should I buy?

I will be experiencing this exact issue this weekend. Our black rifle match has specifically banned the Beuwolf mags. Now I have to dig up my LAR mags and, yup, they are tiny! And they don't sit well in my mag pouches!

get the 3D extension for the LAR's and they become 30 round clones. Easy to extract from pouches or vests.

of course I read the article, why else would I link it. Obviously you are gonna draw your own conclusions and do as you see fit but for me its definately a concern. The liberal government has recently ( last week I think) reversed legislature, again giving RCMP final authority over gun classification. So, to me if RCMP says (from the article)

"Since the 50 Beowulf calibre magazines are adapted from the original 5.56×45 mm NATO design and the ability of the magazine to perform as originally designed has not been compromised by the adaptation, such magazines are prohibited if they contain more than five 5.56×45 mm NATO cartridges. The magazines are in effect dual calibre magazines and will be prohibited if they exceed five shots capacity of either calibre.

Magazines have recently been manufactured in, or imported into Canada bearing markings suggesting they are exclusively designed for 50 Beowulf ammunition, and at four or five shot capacity, are non-prohibited magazines. This is simply not the case. All magazines for 50 Beowulf calibre AR platform firearms presently on the Canadian market are prohibited devices. "

and its in their power to classify things as prohibs, I'm woried.

Actually they can't classify magazines. They apply the law. Dual caliber is a term found nowhere in the firearms act, just made up BS.

Still loving the ATRS mags - no issues with Tacos off the belt, just some styro to keep them higher in the pouch

I would buy the ten round mags. This allows you to shoot CQB matches with a mag that will absolutely let you close the bolt on five rounds. I would love some full length mags that hold ten rounds so that I can rest the mag on the ground when shooting prone and so they fit the mag pouches better.

Sorry for the derail. But, I really feel a need to comment on how nothing draws out the 'critters' on the forum and their BS; quite like a discussion involving mag capacity and particularly the LAR and Beowolf mags. This has been discussed to death, but they just have to crawl out of the woodwork to spread their misinformation and outright lies, everytime.
