What sort of price range should a rem 700 R5 milspec go for used?

As low as $1100 new. I would think the most i would pay for used is $800 or less depending on condition. F@ck what somebody paid for shipping or taxes. Most of the guns on here are over priced and i routinely see people asking more than retail because they know some moron will pay that. I just bought a used savage mcmillan for 800 fired less than 100 rounds through it. Cheapest i could find it retail was 1200. Did i get a smoking deal? I don't think so, that's all it's worth. It might not shoot, then what? Would have been better buying new.
