what species would you hunt but was your last hunt ever

I think a final hunt would have to be for gophers in the prairies. Lots of trigger time before the sun finally set on me.

cougar in BC
lynx in northern ontario
bobcats in ontario
arctic wolf in northwest terrirtories
silver arctic fox in nunavut

what can i say- i'm a predator hunter...

Poacher hunting in an African wildlife preserve - no end of game, and very satisfying. Meat might be a bit stringy though.

Believe it or not, somewhere I have a letter from the Rhodesian Wildlife Dept. saying, "You must be aware that poachers will be present in the area you are hunting, and that they may be armed and dangerous. Although shooting one is an offense, our department will justify it to the courts, and pay you $50 US per set of ears."

This was a few years back, but their way of handling the problem at that time!!

Big bears, African buffalo, dry ground hippo, elephant, big cats; whichever one kills me will be the one I hunt last. Of course there are enough perils in the wild, that one could die while hunting non-dangerous game or while doing something other than hunting. Then again as I get older, it depends what I'm able to hunt near the end. Ya never know, it might be a prairie dog hunt.
