what still of training is this ?

So I'm under the impression that you don't take a .22 out to the back 40 and do any plinking or gopher shooting then, eh? All work and no play....

My TOOLS are what I use to do my daily job. A few years ago, that meant the S&W Model 10 I was issued to "keep me and my customers safe" while handling cash and other negotiable items was just that. These days, now that I've traded my messenger bag for a tool box I shoot for fun. I will still train/practice/learn/whateverthe####youwannacallit just as hard in my free time while engaging in my hobby because I want to be as good as possible. It's in my nature to be competitive, and want to be the best. So I pay money for courses, go through the movements, ask questions about adapting a technique to fit me best, and do it.

I can say the same thing about my bike, too. It's not just a means of commuting, it's a ####ing TOY. It's an outlet. A means of relaxing and unwinding... something I strongly urge you to try doing for once.

I do in fact engage in a lot of gopher shooting, amongst other "recreational" shooting. That doesn't mean my gear isn't setup for its purpose or that I am not practicing and smoothing out my skills. Like you, I enjoy my tools in a lighter capacity just as much as I enjoy training and practicing with them, but each and every one of them has a purpose/role/task for which they are built. The difference here is that I purchase setup and own tools first and foremost, I don't buy toys and I don't collect firearms. If I have no purpose/role/task that needs a tool, then I don't see any reason to buy another...

I don't, unless you are one of those who have a problem with the fact that firearms are weapons, and are all perfectly legitimate for you to have.

The antis, on the other hand, have an entirely different take on it.

They consider some firearms/weapons to be too dangerous for you to have. And when you check a little more closely you find that "some" is actually ALL.

The intent of the law is to disarm you!

The prohibited category contains full autos, rifles, shotguns, and handguns. Among those handguns - single shot .22 rimfires.

Yes, the intent of the law is to disarm you! And pretending that your "firearms" are simply toys won't prevent you from eventually hearing "FIREARMS ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR YOU TO HAVE TO PROTECT THE LIVES OF THOSE YOU LOVE - THEY ARE CERTAINLY NOT SUITABLE TO PLAY WITH!"

Don't be silly, the government is here to protect you and secure your freedoms! Well, they are securing your freedoms, and keeping you safely from accessing them, at least on paper anyway. ;)

Necro post but so be it..

Clayton is a very good guy. He's also much fitter and a way better shooter than most active service soldiers.

He tests and demo's product for many, many manufacturers. Since many of the end users of said product ARE active service members, he gains credibility with them by wearing the same kit that they do.

He also trains...for free, that should tell you something...with the top schools and instructors. He frequently trains by 'invitation' with a lot of 'ahem' groups that you'll never see on his youtube channel.

Speaking of credibility, I know multiple tier 1 and SWAT dudes who have trained extensively with him and have no qualms about saying that they would choose him over most others if they needed to kick in a door.

He has parlayed all this into a VERY successful business.

He has my respect and my friendship.

Bang on, wish more people realized this. The only legitimate reason for civilian gun ownership is for lawful self-defence. Self-defence is a human right that trumps the desires of others to social engineer.

If your only reason for owning guns is for hobby/sporting use it's only a matter of time before those are banned, since you should give up your "hobby" in the name of public safety, the "greater good".

I would suspect he's who they refer to as the monkey, you know the smaller fellow in the vid. (when seen later in the vid. between the two other taller fellows) wearing all the kit training in the OP's first post video.

Yeah, the guy in the first vid...Clayton Montgomery = MilSpec Monkey
