What stock will fit an SKS-D? & Other questions about this SKS-D I got...

So I just bought a partly butchered SKS-D off another CGNer, it's value has been destroyed but functionally it's still great.

So my first question is, will a standard Russian SKS stock fit? I'm gonna sell the archangel it comes with.

Also, in the pic below - what optic mount goes with those holes?

A standard sks stock should fit, though you’ll have to open up the opening for the mag to allow the am mag to fit. Can’t help with the optic mounting holes.

I think there was a mount vaguely like the side mount AK ones that fit those holes, made by weaver.
Can't remember the model, but that should give you an idea.
The best way to put optics on an SKS, full stop.

Just get any SKS stock and attack it with a dremel until it fits.

There are no specific mags for -D, only AK-47 mags will work for this rifle.

What's the easiest at home way I can do that?

You can put screw in, cut it flush from both sides with dremel, hummer it flat, polish and reblue. Do not use stainless steel screws for this.

Grub screws and some loctite. Had a similar situation a few years back on a side mount D&T job.

YES you can

Who said anything about collector value ?
There are other factors that can effect value . Desirability & availability are what drive SKS D prices

You could always figure out what size of thread it’s taped in and put a socket cap head screw cut flush on the inside in the holes with some blue loctite on the threads. Then if you ever figure out the rail or mount it’s set up for, you can easily pull the screws and add a mount.

Since the holes are not uniformly spaced i am guessing the rear two
holes were for the mount and the front holes for a shell deflector
