Should I get for my Remmy 870?

3 choices are:

a) Knoxx COPStock--

b) Knoxx SpecOPS Stock--

c) Mesa Tactical Folder--

One thing to keep in mind is that I am going to put an EOTech holosight on top. I am not sure the COPStock will even fold over the EOTech....
Another thing to keep in mind is that the MESA Tactical is almost 3X the money!!!


Need someone with this combo to help me out here!!

So what ya all think??
 
Personaly, I would go for the Mesa Tactical, with a low tube (unlike the high tube pictured). I just find the gap on the topside (between reciever and stock), funny looking.

As a side note, was it designed this way for a reason?
 
I would say the copstock looks the neatest with the specops close behind. they do a really good job of absorbing recoil. mine is a breacher's grip ( no shoulder stock, 14" barrel) and even 1 oz slugs were no problem- some muzzle climb tho.

If you want an eotech you will need a rail on top of the receiver (the picture of the Mesa will give you an idea of the positioning. I have the eotech that takes AA batteries - the long one - and with the forward end of the rail/eotech ending about 5/8" back from the front of the receiver, the folding stock on the copstock would come down on my eotech or damn close to it. so you will need to get the shorter eotech- and I wouldn't want to bet that you wouldn't get interference seeing the eotech reticle with the copstock folded.

badger ordnance makes a nice 870 Picatinny rail contoured to the receiver which can be ordered form Brownells..

anyway, FWIW, there you have my .02s worth.
 
So I have decided to eliminate the MESA Tactical...its just too pricey, and I want the recoil reduction of the Knoxx.......

Who in Canada sell Knoxx stocks?

I'd prefer to buy from a board sponsor if they can get them for a reasonable price.

The Shooting Edge in Calgary sells them for 149-159$$$.....Anyone know of any other retailers??
 
I like the AGW CAR stock adaptor and full length rail on my 870. Adjustable for LOP and lots of options for sights/optics.

From your list of choices, I'd go with the Knoxx SpecOps.

Not worried about height, more the width.....


I would really prefer an EOTech than a Bushnell :D

I still prefer the looks of the COPStock over the spec ops.....but the spec ops might also be a bit more comfortable on the shoulder??

I just got the SpecOps stock for my 870 Supermag and I am very impressed. Great finish and fit and also got the hogue rubber grip that slides on over the plastic pistol grip. This really adds comfort and improves feel with the molded finger groves. I also go the NRS stock from Knoxx for my 7600 30-06 carbine. Same stock as the SpecOps but with no recoil system. Very nice and will make handling the short carbine in the tight stuff great. In my opinion Knoxx gets top marks
