So Wanstalls recently had a demo model of the T97. Does anyone know what store has it now? or better yet, who will have it this coming weekend (june 15th)?

The same gun is going around? You sure?

If so, that sucks. I was gonna head into Wanstalls on Tuesday to check it out. :(

I was at Wanstalls on Friday and they dont have the demo gun anymore. They told me it was shipped out for review by Caliber Magazine. I will go check out Reliable on Tuesday and see if they have another demo gun there.

Oh well. Last time I fondled one was back when Lever had a bunch of the "bad batch".
Just wanted to see if it was the same feel as the old ones. Hard to tell from a pic...

I held it at Reliable on Saturday. Actually fairly light gun. They had a rail on it and a Burris but told me the stock model will not have a rail. Not a fan of the mag release on the right side. You have to hold support side and use your strong hand (if you are a righty) to release). Shouldered fairly well otherwise.

Finger banged the demo unit, we stipped her apart also.
She was pretty rough, creaky plastic that is rather loose..... Her polymer was a bit soft and loose for me loving.
I am sure she boom booms ok, but the fit and finish was rather dissapointing. No better than the CQ-A that so many drop their knees on.
Top rear reciever cover is plastic, I would be very scared if she wanted to kaboom on me.
Very light and slim, trigger was pleasently smooth too, shoulders very easily! Just the way I like em.
Fire control is in such a bad position, and it needs an ambi mag release ASAP! A modded Norgon ambi mag release should work so she can be mag stripped both ways.
No bolt open switch, but depleted mags do hold her open. You could possibly deep finger the switch if you reached into the mag well to activate her perhaps.
Flash hider is pinned on, unsure if retail version will have it threaded for muzzle pimping.
It is no high dollar Tavor, not remotely even close, but she is cheap and dirty for a very different reason.

Yep, sounds like a piece of junk. Ergonomics sound like crap, finish and quality sounds like crap. Sounds like it should be a 500-600$ gun, and its ugly to boot! No thanks, I will save up and get the Tavor if anything.

Yeah....that's real ####y. I have been pumped for it but now...not so much. a couple of 'G' more and ya have a 'Tavor'!

Others who have held it have had more glowing reviews. Personal preference can vary wildly though.

It isn't a Tavor. The only thing the same is the calibre and its a bullpup. Two totally different classes of gun.

So She not BOOM BOOM love you long time, but cheap and Dirty. TAVOR is very nice pricy, but mostly Plastic.

Isnt there a video of T97 firing 800 rounds and some part of gun melted? I am not 100% sure.
But dam T97 cant be more uglier.

i dont get what people are saying when they call it ugly, i like the way she looks. unlike the UTS15 above it, excessive in it's aesthetic design. No fluff, just straight up business.

that said ar mags/mag release alone will keep me away from this. Nothing wrong with the mags but the release system just does not lend itself well to a bullpup rifle. same goes for straight insert designs due to the nature of which you need to move your arms. The Tavor addresses the first problem and improves the second.

Yep everyone has there own taste in guns, I'm sure some people think its a ###y gun, but I definitely do not. For those that do it is a great chance at a fairly cheap bullpup. Regardless I am sure it will be a huge success.

By the way folks are so concerned with looks over functionality NO wonder the ARs are restricted based on scary looks.
