What stores still have Tavors?

They are still readily available right now, and I highly doubt that so long as the Stateside production of the x95 is in full swing that kits will be discontinued...

That's the thing, I heard it from an american in the industry. The 9mm models and conversion kits don't sell, so they're doing away with it. I believe it, there's smaller, lighter, more affordable PCCs.

And remember, our X95s from from IWI US now.

No they are not... I haven't seen one x95 or Tavor 7 that didn't come from IRG or some other "grey market" importer if you will, that is marked "Harrisburg PA" yet. If you can find one and get North Sylva to accept it for warranty, I will concede, but that hasn't happened yet.

If there's one thing I've learned it's that the gun counter talk is a real thing, so unless you have multiple reputable sources directly involved in the manufacture, import, or wholesale purchasing, it is hard to do more then take such a statement with a grain of salt.

Logistically it would make no sense, it's easier to move guns and parts between Canada and Israel than adding USA as the Middle man so you have to deal with ITAR and 922r compliance as well as ship a second time, which also means the second time clearing customs etc.

Obviously. I thought for certain I had seen North Sylva themselves make an announcement to that effect (IWI US Rifles) but I'm struggling to find it. One of those instances where I didn't bother to bookmark it because I already have mine, and if THEY were making the statement it must be common knowledge. If I'm mistaken, I'm mistaken.

The difference being is North Sylva would still be getting them in the "Canadian Configuration" of 18.6" Barrels and no bayo lug, so it would be immediately obvious if you tried to get them to service a grey market rifle, yeah?

Canada isn't actually getting any special treatment at this point, we are in more of a 2 birds with one stone situation with the US market being the albatross beside the humming bird sized market.

Iwi has figured it out that they can carefully compromise on their Barrel lengths so that they can be multi-purpose for both the US and Canada.

For the civillian market x95, IWI only makes the following barrel lengths in 5.56:
-13"
-16.5" (often listed as 16")
-18.5" (often listed as 18" in the US)

Similar with the T7 in 16" and 20" barreled configurations, we are not getting anything special.

As such the US 18" x95 already meet the criteria for non-restricted here in Canada, however they are easy to spot as being different than the Canadian direct imports from Israel, because the US units have the Harrisburg PA stamping on the rear of the receiver shell under IWI.

Are we essentially getting the same rifles, yes. Although ours come Direct and have different markings on the polymer shell, and the US ones get all the 922r compliance stuff installed once they land in Harrisburg. Harrisburg x95 is also no longer get the bayonet lug since the beginning of covid.

The only way to visually tell where a Tavor originated for retail is by the rear reciever shell stamp.

Has anyone got a line on the 18.5" US barrels with the bayo lugs? I've reached out to IWI themselves and only got crickets for a response. All my military rifles have their matching bayonets and I would like to keep up this tradition in my lock up with my Tavor.
