What strap do I need fro my AR15?

I’ve been using the Proctor sling. Definitely minimalist but I really like it. I was skeptical about the paracord attachment method, but after using it I find that the complete lack of pivot points and metal attachment hardware makes it light, handy, and snag free.

No extra hanging off the end of the rifle either when adjusted all the way in like some other models.

Where did you get the Proctor sling from?

I will try to answer your question more accurately.

These things were designed in the old days. This is how you would rig these back in the days:

This kind of sling attachment position and method are not "tactical" by today's standard......but you do what you need to do if you are stuck with this kind of stock and sling swivel.
If you can’t figure out how to rig a two point with those sling points you’re doing it wrong. Those attachment points predate three point slings.

I use a simple two point quick adjust and I don’t need or use fancy attachment points to make it work well.

Aargh, I hate replying to necrothreads without realizing it.

Lookup Spring Sling M16 part #SSM16, I found one cleaning up the other day unused in the package with the instructions. Seems like it’s just what your looking for and shows instructions and fitting on both M16 and M4 rifles and has padded pieces at both ends near attachment. -Dieseldog!
