What striker fired guns look good for 2017?

I got my FN in hands but can't get to the range until that little piece of paper makes it to my mailbox.

I'm very impressed with it's fit finish and quality. The trigger is nowhere near as bad as internet claims ... I have safariland als holster coming in for it next week too.

It seems to be a great fit right in between full size and compact, but very much a service pistol feel to it. Great overall, now to see what it's like on the range.
 
I like the Canik series, dollar for dollar and reliability wise I would take them over any other polymer (I've had most), I use for IDPA/3gun, IPSC I think production the TP9SA is a no go, anyway for IPSC it's still a heavy D/S action for me

Curious to hear from other PPQ M2 5" and especially PPQ Match owners who have tested their trigger pull weights. What is your trigger pull weight after a year or so decent usage? Am I just a one off case or have others had the same experience?

Worse case Onagoth, you might just have to 'settle' for 2 guns for your different practical action shooting needs:) Which is not a bad problem to have :)

PS. Of the polymer striker fire guns I tried, the PPQ M2 and Match had by far the best trigger and reset and for me grip ergonomics ...once I added the extra length to the grip with the +2 base pads to accommodate my big mitts.

Mine was less than 5lbs out of the box.
 
That's kind of a problem...not that I shoot many lvl 3's but it would suck to be bumped to open if the pull weight isn't met.

Not a bad idea...but I think if I went this route it'd be the Stock III P (maybe) or the Xcalibur

Not totally sworn off DA/SA, especially since some of them can be quite light and still seem to handle recoil well.

The P09 has mixed reviews and I've looked at it before, albeit briefly. None of my mags would work and it would probably need trigger work.
 
Just got a Grand Power Q100. It's a great addition to my other Grand Power handguns and something I thought would be perfect for LEAP (law enforcement action pistol) and 3-gun.

This one has the factory light trigger spring installed, and yields a 2 lb 15oz trigger pull. There is a heavier trigger return spring available from the factory, so that may increase the trigger pull enough to be > 5lb IPSC minimum. I shoot my X-Caliburs for IPSC anyhow so I'm going to leave it just like this.

It is a long trigger reset, but I like the trigger pull much better than my Glocks. Interesting that the trigger returns to the full forward position even without resetting. It feels pretty much the same reset or not, so you can actually do some dry fire practice. You just don't get an actual trigger break.

Can't wait to take this baby out to the range :)
