Just wondering what's the better platform? Stock sr-22 or get a basic 10/22 and put into a nomad or Troy chassis. What's would you do?

I've been tossing around the same idea. The SR22 is ready to go, but its a bit heavy. And the lack of a full length rail kindda sucks. Buying a 10/22 then all the parts is pricier, but you'll end up with a more accurate gun (probably) if you plan on buying a new barrel too. And the satisfaction of building something up and turning it into a project gun is worth something in my opinion.

I really like the Troy chassis a lot. My only complaint is that there is some wiggle room between the chassis and receiver (least there was for me). But this is solved by bedding the receiver in the frame. Makes take down for cleaning a little bit of a pain, but the rifle will be more accurate for sure.

Had the Marauder for a while, and a FabSport 556, but the Troy is very nice. The standard SR-22 (Nordic Kit), does mount better to the receiver, but also is heavier.
