what tactical .22 are available in canada

I run a ruger 10/22 in a troy t-22 chassis it's pretty tactical , the ruger sr-22 is worth a look as well as mossbergs .22 ( I forget the name , just dig around there web site ) most of these are chassis systems that you put a reciever and barrell into . Most of the .22 that look like a ar-15 are restricted sadly .

Edit Nordic components are real nice too

Question, tactical = AR or tactical = swat sniper
Both are tactical.
There is a ARish NR 10/22. Iirc its build in Edmonton or area. I think it was as much as a sr22 or more.
It is a trainer 22. So 7+ lbs.
Sorry cant remember the site. Do a search for NR AR type 22s.

KelTec SU 22 ? ( is that the right name ) is pretty black , especially if you trade out the gawd awful stock it comes with .

If you like the H&K G36, the Ruger 10/22 in an Archangel Marauder stock is a pretty serious piece of kit. Just as solid as a real G36 (I've handled both), feels, looks, and handles exactly the same - no cheap, flexy plastic crap here. And, of course, it's NR. As for the bolt-action style tactical, a Savage boltie in a Boyd's "tacticool" stock is right on the money.

SR 22 was the first choice for me. There is also the mossy 715 (I think thats's what its's called). Also the ISSC mk22. If you want to do a little building, a 10/22 in a new stock might float your boat.

I've been wanting to try a Rock Island Armory Mig 22 for a while. They can be had through Irunguns.

Those kits where you slap some plastic on an existing rifle to make it look tacticool are usually not the best, according to the reviews I've read. That includes most of the legal options here. If I had the money to blow I might try the Troy chassis, probably the best quality.

Corrected

I'm running my 10/22 with a Choate stock (you can order it via Mystic Precision)

Nice and light, great ergos, just need to trim the upper back edge of the pistol grip as it's sharp lol

I didn't like the following:
-Archangel 556 - it's in 2 pieces and has a plastic rail. Not good for accuracy, especially after a takedown when you need to clean the rifle. Also got metal screws going into plastic and you know what that means
-Nomad - Heavy hog.. Too much unnecessary weight

There was one on the EE a couple of weeks ago. It was posted buy a sponsor of this site, just can't remember who it was.

image.jpgThere's are 2 mossberg 715,plastic shells, rem597, also plastic shell . But the price reflects that.

Check out Dlask dar-22 it's a 10-22 clone and real sweet . I'll also go +1 on the ria mig-22 , never held or shot one but I'm impressed by what I've seen and read , the only problem I've heard is that it might be hard to find mags .
