What tent do you use?

Hell I just knock down a few trees, 'en build m' self a damn fine log cabin! What 'en hell's wrong with you sissies now 'ah days? Damn kids..... So I sleep at home while hunting.....I don't like it when it's all dark in the woods 'en stuff! :D Some real nice looking set up's fellas!

MEC nunatak, it not the biggest by any means, or the lightest. but it is very strong, and i could go up everest if i wanted with it. If i were hunting and could drive/atv to where i wanted to setup camp with a few people i would buy another larger tent. If i were backpacking multi day i would buy a lighter tent. But i rather enjoy this one so far.

I'm also looking to purchase a brand new tent, going to MEC tomorrow for a good 1-2 person tent. Will post pics soon, and great setup guys! Some of the stuff is crazy to carry, but if your atv and/or vehicle is next to the tent, then why not haha

I use this crappy $50 basspro special. It works. The price was right. The Hilton it is not.

Here it is with a nice layer of ice on it last week, had trouble getting the zippers open that morning!

If you look at the Hubba (1 man) or Hubba-hubba(2 man) tent keep in mind they have two types, cheaper one is all mesh and breathes VERY well...... too well IMO. Just ask Davey, he near froze out ont he last sheep trip IIRC.
I had picked one up as well, the two man version and my daughter and I near froze in it so I took it back. I'd get the full nylon one if I were to get another.
They are nice with side entrances and double vestibule too.:)

We use a Sierra Designs Clip Flashlight. Pack up nice and we endured close to -18C not including windchill in a nasty windstorm, the -30C mummy bag was barely enough for my scrawny carcass. Brrrrr!

This was the next morning, lake formed a 1/2" layer of ice overnight.

Just a couple things to consider when you browse.

For hunting, a 12' x 13' Norseman, with a woodstove. Bought a diesel heater for next year as firewood is limited in Eastern Ontario. For nicer weather, I have a Eureka Outfitter, one of their dome designs, and a 2 person Spitfire.
