what the best make of .22Lr

Best .22

Best for the money is a CZ ask to see a bunch of em because some have nice wood but you need gto look for it. The new Weatherby (Anchultz) is a beautiful gun but will cost you some change

I'll brag up my anschutz :D I got a cil 310 (anschutz)...

Agreed. I got mine as a 14th birthday present in 1966 (!) Not as handsome to my eyes as other makes (esp the Cooper!) but it is certainly accurate:

This was using an inexpensive Simmons scope and, as noted, budget ammo.

After playing with the 1022, Marlin 39a and Cooey 39 etc even a Cooey 64, we have settled on the CZ452. I have one and my wife has a BRNO single shot that is wickedly accurate. I liked the CZ so much I bought a CZ527 in 223. Very nicely built guns. Most of these guns listed here will provide pretty decent accuracy. As far as "best bang for buck" I think the CZ452/453 takes it. There may be more accurate 22lrs out there but it is a 22lr after all so this is small increments of improvement past the CZ anyways compared to dollar value. And the BRNO/Anschutz/CZs are all very nicely put together. You cant really lose with any of them. Pretty easy to sell if you decide to go with something else too. Even better if you can find a decent used one-its a 22 after all-takes an awful lot of use to shoot out a barrel.
