I am really happy with my Anschutz 1712. Best looking and shooting bolt action I have had. My past bolts were a CZ American Model and Ruger 77/22 Magnum.

Anschutz, Feinwerkbau, Walther, Winchester (52), Remington (40X), Suhl 150, Cooper, Valmet, etc - really can't go wrong with any of these

You might want to post a price range...
the best .22 under $1000 will not be the same best .22 under $2000 or $5000

Also, what do you want to use it for?
The best gopher gun will not be the same as the best squirrel gun, as the best benchrest gun, as the best 3P ISSF gun...

Love my Ruger 10/22 with a 25 round mag for good all round plinking and gopher decimation. Like the energizer bunny....keeps on going.
