What the heck is going on with the 09 m305s?

My buddy bought a 2009 m305 yesterday. I had some time so I told him I would clean out all the cosmoline this morning and we could shoot it this afternoon.

Opened up the box and had a peak. No cosmoline visible, huh
Took the gun apart and no cosmoline anywhere. A ton of oil, dripping wet literally but no cosmo.

So I cleaned it up, re lubed as best I knew (m14 complete newb) and off we went.

I took the first shot at 70 yards with federal 150grain . #### stayed attached. Neither of us have ever used this type of sight. I missed bullseye by 2 inches.
Next shot I was off by a mile but I was not used to the trigger and I jerked.
He shots a 2 inch group of 3.
I shot a 1/2 inch group of three with one driven.
He shoots a fast 4 group 3 inch group
I went ultra rapid as fast as I could and all hit a 2' x 2' target
We never did get the sights dead set but the groups were much better than I ever expected .

HMM now I must get one:rockOn:
 
I forgot to mention the recoil, or lack of it. We also had a 22-250 out and the recoils were very close!!! I still am sitting here in shock and awe of a $499 sythetic stock, 308 semi that I could shoot all day.
