Not a mossberg scope I have ever seen, but prob' close in vintage.
Also I have never seen one with an illuminated reticule.

The lack of adjustments makes me wonder if it was meant to have external ones on the mount itself...like this rifle:

Very interesting, what is the story behind this scope?

Hi Calum,

This old scope was on an old Mossberg that I had bought from an old guy. It started out life as a 22 lr and was bored out to 22 Mag by an old military trained gunsmith. If memory serves me I think it was done in the 50`s sometime.the rings were soft enough to bend for windage.

I think the scope must be artilary related. On the front of the scope it is stamped,
A.P. G 344** Inner 100 Knots
A.B N0 183916 Outer 200 Knots
Below that is a NP 43. only the NP is the back of the P is part of the N, also the P has a tail or dash like the letter E at the bottom of the letter and the 43.
The reticle looks black but when lit up with a light makes it a bright silver.
