Can someone please tell me what the heck kinda round the second from the right is? the one with the bb's.

Both rounds on the right are shotshells, good for mice and pigeions within 20 ft. But damn, if you shoot it indoors wear safety glasses

A buddy was teasing me for wearing safety glasses while shooting pigeons, he stopped laughing after his first shot and taking on in the eyebrow.

they arent supposed to be all that #### hot though... never tried um yet, just heard they are kinda useless. Using a high velocity pellet gun is better.. so I was told.

The problem with any shotshell out of a rifled barrel is the resulting pattern. The shot string flies in a spiral that leaves big holes in said pattern. It's highly likely that you'd miss or just wound a charging bull mouse even at under 20 feet.

It's a .22 shotshell.

AKA,, snake medicine. As the others say,, the one on the right is a shotshell as well (Federal).

These are for close range stuff,, like around 5 feet. Max recommended by the manufacturer is 15 ft.

Hi

I guess I am the only one that has something good to say about them. They work. I have dropped pigeons in barns and I have shot snakes using a revolver at my clubs old range ( It was very swampy).

The crimp type will stick in some chambers after firing as the case length will equal that of a .22 magnum.

re :what kind of ammo is this?

The two cartridges on the right were correctly identified as .22 rimfire shotshells. CCI produced a round like the 2nd from right with the clear plastic capsule. Winchester produces a round like the farthest right with the "star" type crimp. These are usually loaded with # 12 shot. I have shot rats and mice with both types - at very close range. As pointed out by previous posters. pattern and penetration are marginal at best. But for a close encounter with a garage rodent, they increase the chance of success and are much safer than a .22 long rifle cartridge.

22 shot shells work.
Yes limited range, and very little damage to walls and doors. Killed many rats in the barn with them.
Always wanted to try them in a 22 smoothbore, supposed to work a lot better pattern

It wasn't the first shot. It was the 3rd or 4th. :p
