yeah thats what i was thinking, but if the .223 is clip fed, how is the 12g fed?
the tubular mag is in the stock?

The shotty mag appears to be on top of the stock.

That is the Mark I Crossfire, was a pump action 12 ga and .223 that also took AR mags. Came out around 2000 I believe, never heard much of it after that. I think the mag for the shotgun is in the stock, similar to a Speed Feed.

where did you come across that combo rifle.I have never seen that before at any gun show or gun store. Just out of curiosity when did these come out. I noticed in the pictures the price is steep.

It's a manual action, so it's still non restricted, if that's what you mean.

It's a neat idea, like a modern combination gun, or drilling, but the price is too steep for me. It's not the handsomest rifle/shotgun, but I care more for utility than looks anyway.

I wonder what it would be registered as! is it a shotgun or is it a rifle? More importantly would the identity crisis lead to misfire or jamming, that only the gun whisperer can fix?

It's a combination gun, common already, just normally break action. They register as such, and have a "/" between the calibers.
