What the....? No thread on the big Wolverine surplus sale?

Frig-

The big scary guns arent listed as full auto or converted auto....just that some are dewatted

must ... have .......... Le..w....i..s........g...u...n.....

The M1 Carbine..... I can't see clearly in the picture, but it looks like it has the early style flip rear sight. Why did they describe it as "non standard rear sight"?

Maybe it comes with a later style rotating safety? Can't see it in the pic.

It is just tough to make a buy or no-buy decision based on just a poor picture of the under side of an item......

IM looking for any german k98k for fair price.

russian capture, yugo capture, Norweigen, east german , pretty much everything.

There's one on Ellwood Epps site for $649. Sounds like a Russian capture, 1937 action and a laminate stock, too early for laminate. Says Nazi WaA are intact though. A little high but there is a big demand.

Prices seem to be high.

Maybe, kinda, ummmm, then again. I admit the prices aren't as low as I would like, but seem fair in todays market. That little swede carbine for 375$ is a nice price. I would say the prices are fair, just not great finds, but then again you are dealing with a pro who knows the market pretty well, and who isnt looking to give things away.

From what I can tell, the flip sight is long gone. Many of the police carbines had the sights removed, the mount filed down, and a new V-notch sight installed on the front of the reciever, just before the handguard begins. Otherwise, would have been a nice USGI carbine.

The M94 Swede is the only one that interested me, and was fortunately at a pretty decent price.... too bad, though, as someone got to it before me.

I was surprised at how quickly the Port K98 sold ($1800) --- makes the $499 Armco one that we talked about in another thread a real bargain (and with much nicer wood, to boot!)

I forget the details, but does anyone want to comment on the Nazi-marked K98 that was below the Port K98? I think it was listed at either $750 or $850.

If that is the case, it should have said "rear sight removed".

Why did they take the picture from that angle anyway?

So, who got to the 43M before me? Congrats. If you want to make $200 on it PM me.

I did get the Bodeo Officer's Model and the KNIL 1891 though, so I'm happy.
