What timer to get?

So I am looking at timers and am getting quite confused as to which one to get. So far I see that the two brands are Pact and CED. Beyond that Pact has two main models the Club III and the MKIV. CED has the 7000 and 7000 PRO. I am not sure which would be better for basic timing with the intent to advance my feature usage later. The Club III seems to be a more basic timer then the other three. The 7000 pro is the most advanced. But beyond that is it overkill? I figure this is an investment in training and don't mind spending the coin.
So my question is: PACT Club III Vs. PACT MKIV Vs. CED 7000 Pro Vs. CED 7000? What do you guys think.

I use the pact MK IV an prefer it but every time I suggest it I get dumped on (watch the Jerry Miculek speed shooting videos and see what he uses and watch any Rob Leatham video, they both use Pact MKIV timers) it's the only one with a full numerical pad and has lots of training features.
Make sure if you are buying a training timer it at least has the ability to set par times to the tenth of a second all the way from at least 10 seconds down to half a second. I prefer timers with a belt clip and not ones with strings that will make the timer flop around and get in the way when moving or turning (draws) and make sure the data is easy to scroll through. You should be able to quickly and easily pull up all you splits. Features like cadence beeps, are helpful too.

+1
I use the Pact III timer and the chronograph combination. It works very well in both modes. The reasons listed above tell all of the features of timer. If you do get the pact timer with the built in chronograph, Pact now has the Infrared screens for use inside under fluorescent lighting. Y will not have to buy 2 separate pieces of equipment therefore save some money to spent on practice ammo. You will be able to build your ammo to what works best in you gun.

And just because the Pact MK IV is used throughout I thought this would be a good video. Plus it's Jerry and he is just awesome.

I think the only reason Jerry has such strong hands is because he had been punching buttons on Pact MK IV timer for very long time. :D

You're probably right, I suspect Jerry has recorded more shots on a Pact Timer than most people have fired in their lifetime.

where do we buy the Pact timers? Pact site doesn't seem to want to ship to Canada.

no chance you could help me figure out which dealers that would be??? I've checked the ones I've bought stuff from in the past and came up with zero timers of any kind...

I emailed Brant today and got a call moments later. Fabulous service right off the bat. I am leaning towards the MK IV as it is full featured and has the display on top. The smaller CED is a bit harder to look at if shooting by yourself by the looks of it.
Jerry seems to us both in his videos. In one of the earlier videos he is using the CED timer and complained about not being able to hear it.
I am leaning towards the MK IV but I still don't know.

I just ordered the Pact MK IV from Brant... after reading about the CED Pro and speaking with the gent from Brant I suspect it is overkill to get the 700 Pro... although for my use right now the MK IV is for sure way more than I need I wanted something that I could scale to my future use... the ability to upgrade it to a chrono is a bonus in my mind....
I look forward to getting my hands on it.
Thanks all for your help...

The RUReady are great timers for matches but just not functional enough for training. I used one for years until I bought the pact and found out all the stuff I was missing out on.
