what to buy 223 rem or 22-250

A 22-250 with 50 and 55gr bullets and a 12 twist, won't run with a 223 rem with a 7 twist and 90gr bullets or even 80gr vld, with 22 250 you wouldn,t even get on paper F class shooting at 7,8,900 meters. the 223 does very good at those ranges

Compare apples with apples......Lets let the 22-250 have a 7" twist . Now we're talking.

22-250, $277 cheep (who cares if you burn out the barrel?), more horse power is always a good thing. Max 10x with 55 gr TSX my new favorite load, the coyotes aren't going to like this :)

I'll be using my .264wm with 129gr SST's for yotes this year I sold my .22-250 but man I miss it the .22-250 is just plain fun to shoot......

Still got 8lbs of H380 too......

runs to the EE to find a .22-250 :runaway:

Well. Thanks for the details. I'll have to admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, but the fact that you mentioned tactical..... I have no doubts at all that you were able to use a factory skinny barrel rifle, with a 9 powered scope to make a 942 yd shot at something with at best a 6" to 8" kill zone.

LOL, you're right. If they had called the scope the "FFII Precise erector adjust", if wouldn't be nearly as "cool".

Oh yeah, and there is a rumor that those "skinny barrelled" Tikka's can often shoot just as accurately as heavy-barrelled varmint rifles- but only on Saturdays when there's a full moon.

People always like pix...you can see the coyote laying in the snow about 3.5 MOA above the bottom post in the reticle and 3.5 MOA to the left.
