What to buy in the summer of 2019 BCL or Stag or Troy

hmm, so i had kinda decided on a STAG but i was at my LGS yesterday and they had some of the brand spanking new BCL's (latest Gen) and i must admit they look pretty damn nice!

even without a sale on thats $700 cheaper.
that would mean i could put a really nice glass on it.

my OT pay got pushed back till the end of the month.
so looks like ill have 3-4 weeks to contemplate which one i want.

What's the warranty like on the BCL.

just pulled this from their site.
We offer one of the most comprehensive warranties in the industry as all Black Creek Labs products are warranted for the full lifetime of the product.

Black Creek Labs will repair or replace any product that fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship.

i know i have a couple of their AR's and i had a BCG in a CCS AR die and i sent it in and had a replacement one a week later.

Well you can't really go wrong with that kind of warranty, as good as the Stag10's. Although I did purchase the Stag over the BCL as my first rifle, and could not say which is better.

Don't buy BCL, way too many people have had issues and it sounds like their lifetime warranty is awesome except that there have been a few reports from guys who have struggled for months to get a reply from BCL just to send it back for warranty, then they waited months before hearing back from them once the rifle is with them.

Stag also has a lifetime warranty which includes the barrel so if you ever shoot it out you get a free replacement.

I wouldn't bother with a 308 and 6.5CM upper. There is nothing a 308 can do that the 6.5 can't. I have semi's in both calibers and the 6.5 is as good or better in every category other than factory ammo availability and no surplus options. Once you own the 6.5 you won't find many times that the 308 is a better choice for the days activities.

My advice is to buy a Stag in 6.5CM and spend the rest of your budget on glass (maybe save up a little more for the glass).

I agree 100%, go for the Stag.

One could argue 308 is a better cartridge for hunting in many applications.

Stag 10 without question. I owned a BCL Gen2 and sold it to fund a Stag 10 build. Best decision I ever made minus the fact that my Stag 10 build was almost double the cost of what the BCL is selling for now . The BCL functioned well with the 100 rounds I put through it but the fit and finish was poor, looked like most of the machining was done with an angle grinder and the aftermarket parts I bought for the BCL had to modified to fit.
