So I'm hoping to buy my first shotgun this year, I have a budget of $700-$900, am not a big fan of semi-auto (just a personal taste thing), am leaning towards a pump, maybe an O/U. I've had a couple suggestions from co-workers but thought I'd see what you guys think. So... What do you guys think?

P.S. I am going to be using the gun for mostly skeet shooting, maybe some waterfowl if I can get the time to go out.

Semi's are fine, dependant on what you choose.
Pumps have their place also.
So do single shawts.

Old school in remarkable shape fair better than some of this new chit.

Their are a couple of decent Turkish O/U's that fall in that price category, Akkar, CZ, Pointer for instance. A used B-gun in decent will be usually cost you north of $1000. You can shoot decent scores in Skeet with a pump, I know, because all I shoot these days is a slide-action, however be aware, until a slide-action becomes second nature to you, short shucking will cost targets. New; Browning BPS, Benelli Nova(if it fits you) or Supernova(if it doesn't) are very good guns, a Remington Wingmaster, though not to the same standard, are good guns and will hold up to decades of use. A new Ithaca 37 or Model 12 is pretty much the best in this category, if you can find one, be prepared to spend money. The BPS and Ithaca 37 will take some getting used to when loading singles, the BPS with magazine cut-off, if you can find one, makes life easier.

I think Winchester makes a trap pump in your price range - it will come with skeet chokes. I have one of their regular oump sxps. Good gun for the money if it fits.
