What to buy???

So here's the problem, I have a two tone norc from CanAm on order, apparently showing up soon. On Friday I get a call from Italian Sports saying they finally got in the Kimber Rimfire Target I want.

So I can get one but not both since I just ordered a new scope too. :(

The Kimber's a bit rich for a .22 but the norc is not really anything special (although for $350 can you lose?). I already have a Rock Island 1911 so maybe I should pass on the norc and wait to buy a higher end 1911 later?

What do you guys think?

Given that you already have an 'entry level' 1911 in .45ACP I'd opt for the Kimber .22 and then add a higher end 1911 down the road.

There will always be Norc 1911's around to buy... ;)
 
After doing a lot of shopping around,I just bought the Kimber Rimfire Super myself.It looks like a well made gun,with great reviews,but I really won't know for another couple of weeks when I can get it out to the range.
 
Skip the Chi-com junk

The chi-com guns will alway be chi-com no matter what manner of accessories you tack on.
Buy the Kimber in 22. Its a very nice gun. I have shot it. Its a dream.
Save your money and buy a Glock 21 in 45acp. In a few months the nice people at Lone Wolf Distributors will have their longslide top end in stock. A Glock 21 with a 5.75 in barrel. Now that's a keeper..

There is really no reason to buy a Norc 1911 if you already own another 1911 (unless you want a cheap gun to mess around with). And you are right, Kimber .22 is a bit expesive for what it is - you can get a better .22 pistol for less money.

My advice is don't waste your cash and save up to buy something nice in the future.

The thing I like about the Kimber as opposed to the other reliable .22 pistols is it has the same ergonomics as my .45 so I get the practice without the price, which brings me to this:

For the record, I'm not a big Norc fan but to be a devil I'll toss in another option....buy the Norc and order the STI Marvel .22lr conversion kit for it from Freedom Ventures. You'd be able to use the kit on both your 1911's and still be ahead a few bucks.....:evil: :stirthepot2:

I considered this too. For some reason I think I'd prefer an all matched pistol. Why? I don't know really, maybe it's silly but there it is.

I think I'm going with the Kimber, thanks for the advice guys.
